CTV's Comedy Inc. Wins Gold at New York Festivals
(Toronto, ON – Jan. 31, 2005) – CTV’s sketch comedy series Comedy Inc. has won the Gold World Medal at the internationally prestigious New York Festivals Awards. The first place award was announced last Friday at a black tie presentation at the Hudson Theatre in Manhattan. The New York Festivals received approximately 2,500 entries from 31 countries.

Comedy Inc. returns for its second season later this year on CTV and The Comedy Network. The Gemini-nominated series stars Roman Danylo, co-stars Aurora Browne, Jen Goodhue, Terry McGurrin, Jenn Robertson, Winston Spear and Gavin Stephens with Albert Howell and Ian Sirota. The series also features guest stars from a who’s who of Canadian comedy, including Nikki Payne, James Cunningham, Alex Nussbaum and Jean Paul.

Comedy Inc. is produced by NTM Productions Inc. for CTV and The Comedy Network.

Now in its 48th year, the New York Festivals International Television Programming and Promotion Awards is one of the world’s largest competition of its kind, and an important event in the communications industry.
