ROCKIN’ COMEDIAN JOHN WING TAKES CARE
OF BUSINESS IN ‘THE ELVIS YEARS’

All-New ‘Comedy Now!’ Debuts October 21

Veteran comedian John Wing shows us he’s a lot more than just a "hunka hunka burnin’ love" in his all-new COMEDY NOW! special JOHN WING: THE ELVIS YEARS, premiering Sunday, October 21 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on The Comedy Network.

Family-guy comedian John Wing explores his "Elvis years" with humourous anecdotes on marriage, children and getting older. Here’s John…
On The Difference Between Living Together & Marriage: Living together is a commitment. Marriage is a vow. Subtle difference. You can walk away from your commitment. I need a lawyer to break my vows. You live with someone, you look over at your partner and you think, "Gee, I wonder what would happen if we broke up?" When you’re married you look over at your partner and you think, "Gee, I wonder what would happen if she died?"

On Marriage: I like being married, I’m a good husband. You don’t have to know anything. Actually, I believe that’s preferred, isn’t it? I mean a guy who doesn’t know anything can be trained. A guy who thinks he know something, he’s dangerous. He’ll have to be broken down and re-educated.

On Passions: As you get older, your passions change. My newest passion is trousers with elastic waistbands. I’ve become a collector. I buy them on E-Paunch. I think if you use the word trousers regularly you’re officially getting older. That’s what happens when you get older, you start using longer words. Pants become "trousers." Boots become "galoshes." Glasses become "spectacles." Sex becomes "impossible."
A native of Sarnia, Ontario, John Wing is one of the most successful stand-ups in
North America. His laid-back humour has been widely enjoyed with appearances
on THE TONIGHT SHOW, AN EVENING AT THE IMPROV and COMIC STRIP LIVE
as well as JUST FOR LAUGHS.

All-new COMEDY NOW! specials continue on The Comedy Network with WOMEN OF THE NIGHT, hosted by Brigitte Gall and starring Aurora Browne, Joanna Downey,
Nikki Payne, Kate Rigg and Shoshana Sperling (October 28), plus new episodes
from Gerry Dee and Darryl Purvis (November 4) and Dave Martin (November 11).

COMEDY NOW! is produced by Hi Guys Five Productions, with the participation of the Canadian Television Fund created by the Government of Canada and the Canadian cable industry.
